No Entrance Exam (KEAM) for B Sc Nursing, B Pharm, BPT, B Sc MLT, B Pharm (Ay.) & Nursing (Ay.) in Kerala

The Kerala Govt. decided to exempt B Sc Nursing, B Pharm, BPT, B Sc MLT, B Pharm (Ay.) & Nursing (Ay.) courses from the Common Medical Entrance Examination and make admission to these courses on the basis of Plus-two marks.

The marks and grades in the eligibility tests conducted by various Boards would be coordinated and a committee comprising the Secretaries of the health, general education and higher education departments, Director of Medical Education and two experts from the government sector would be appointed to make recommendations in this regard. The health department would decide the criteria for admission on the basis of the committee's recommendations.

Admission to these courses would be from the ranklist compiled by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology from next year onwards. The government took the decision to improve the standard of para-medical courses, including nursing and to  ensure admission to brilliant students.
